Hey Fortnite fanatics, summer is here and you know what that means, right?
Yes, you guessed it: Ice Cream time!
The much-anticipated annual summer event, dubbed Summer Escape, is finally live and will run until the 18th of July. Epic has put together some rad alterations to our favorite battle royale game, and that's not all, there are tons of freebies up for grabs.
Let's dive right in: The most exciting tweak? Ice cream cones, baby! Just like the good old times, these sweet treats give you a variety of abilities when consumed. And how cool is this - our regular flare guns have morphed into firework-shooting ones, adding some much-needed summer festival vibes!
What's the juicy part of the update you ask?
As always, it's all about the quests. Not only will they give you a nice EXP boost, but these quests are your ticket to unlocking some hot summer loot like summer-themed wraps, trails, and loading screens. But wait for it, the cherry on top of this summer sundae is an adorable little lizard companion. Can you believe it?!
Battle Pass holders, the wait is over!
As of July 6th, you can unlock the chilled-out version of Meowscles. Fortnite Crew subscribers, you're in for a treat too! Log in and snatch that new banana backpack. Keep an eye out for the item store; there'll be a couple of fresh summer-themed skins to flaunt.
Just in case you've been living under a rock, Fortnite is currently going wild with Chapter 4: Season 3. Since its launch in June, we've been exploring a new jungle-themed island, battling through the mud, and dodging dinosaurs and... yes, you heard right, even Transformers!
