## The idea of creating a startup: whether it was based on market research or the founder's own experience?

The founder of the startup, Michael Patsan, has over ten years of experience in the EdTech industry. His previous startup, the Academy of Financial Literacy, had 50,000 students in 27 countries worldwide. One day, Michael received a direct message on Instagram offering to buy his course at an 80% discount. It was estimated that such piracy-related losses amounted to around $200,000 annually.

After conducting more in-depth research, it was discovered that in the United States alone, authors lose over $540 billion due to digital content piracy. This is the problem that Amsets aims to solve. We provide authors with the ability to protect their copyrighted content and sell it on the secondary market to content consumers, thus eliminating the need for digital content piracy. It is more efficient to sell rights to use the content instead.

To validate our idea, we conducted research among industry experts, digital content authors, and potential platform users. We received positive feedback, as well as nine pre-orders and payments.

In November 2022, we launched our own DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and received nearly $50,000 in donations for project development.

## What were the main stages of creating a startup?

After the large-scale invasion, we actively engaged in volunteering and charity work. One of our projects was the collection of NFT cats, "Purr for Ukraine" in partnership with the "Come Back Alive" foundation. Since not all donors had cryptocurrency wallets, we decided to teach them how to set up wallets. As a result, this free education transformed into the Learn to Earn Global Web3 University, which has trained over 2,000 Ukrainian students and is the largest AI and Web3 community in Ukraine. Considering the problem of piracy, we searched for an LMS platform that would protect content from piracy, prevent unauthorized downloads, and be cost-effective. Unfortunately, we did not find such a platform, which led us to create our own.

In August 2022, we started developing a decentralized infrastructure to address this problem. Nearly four months were spent on researching and testing the technology, and in November 2022, we launched our decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), which has received nearly $50,000 in donations for project development to date.

Since then, we have developed and launched the first version of Amsets Space, which went through testing. It was a marketplace that allowed authors to publish their content, while users had the opportunity to sell it on the secondary market. We received feedback and released the first public version of the platform in May. Over 130 users participated in testing, and we continued refining the product throughout the summer.

The biggest challenge we encountered was the immaturity of the Web3 industry, and we had to develop certain technological solutions ourselves. Another challenge was the regulation of the virtual asset market, which is currently nonexistent worldwide. This added expenses for legal support and the development of legal documents that would allow the company to operate globally and enable authors to sell their content in any country, either for cryptocurrency or fiat currency.

Thanks to the supportive Web3 community, we managed to address some technological and legal issues.

Currently, the platform is operational on the Polygon blockchain mainnet. Authors have the opportunity to publish their educational content on the marketplace or acquire a White Label platform subscription. Platform users can take courses, complete tests, receive blockchain-recorded SBT tokens as certification for their learning achievements and also users have the ability to resell courses purchased on the platform.

Our goal by the end of 2023 is to have 100,000 users on the platform and achieve an annual revenue of $1 million within three years.

Our global goal is to reach 100 million users of Amsets technology.

## Who are your team members? How did you find each other and how do you work together?

Michael Patsan — CEO, with over 15 years of experience in the financial industry and over 10 years in EdTech. He has three successful business exits in his entrepreneurial career.

Arseniy Trybukh — CTO, with over 4 years in the Web3 industry. He has successful case studies in implementing blockchain products and educational projects. One of them was implemented together with two current team members, Inna Skakunova and Anastasia Snida.\

Inna Skakunova — Head of Web3, she creates an excellent front-end and is the one enabling users to easily interact with Web3 technology.

Anastasia Snida — Head of Design, she creates beautiful designs for the platform and enhances the entire user experience.

Artem Atepalikhin — handles business development, searching for new partnerships and valuable connections. His extensive network, investment experience, and impeccable business reputation help the startup grow rapidly.

Michael and Artem started and later Arseniy joined. They met at the first offline conference organized by Learn to Earn Global, tried to create the first product, which eventually became the first version of Amsets Space. In the spring of this year, Inna and Anastasia joined us, bringing their expertise in Web3 development and creating the excellent design for our platform.
