With over 10 years of experience in marketing and public relations, Krystelle shares her journey, inspirations and aspirations for the future.
Can you tell us about yourself and what led you to the blockchain industry?
I'm Krystelle Galano and my journey begins in the vibrant city of Manila, Philippines, a decade ago. As a marketer, my role was clear: breathe life into the digital presence of budding companies, crafting engaging content, making ad campaigns and navigating the ever-shifting landscapes of platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter. However, fate had other plans. An unexpected opportunity in PR thrust me into the realm of media relations, where I make articles for prestigious publications like Seattle Finance. This unforeseen detour not only broadened my skill set but ignited a passion for a field I hadn't previously considered. Then came the pivotal moment—my discovery of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. As I navigated this new terrain, I found myself not only learning but thriving. From guest appearances on podcasts to spearheading events as a PR manager, my journey transcended traditional marketing roles. What began as a simple desire to work has blossomed into a lifelong commitment to personal growth and industry innovation. Witnessing the exponential growth of blockchain and crypto in the Philippines has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. From obscurity to mainstream acceptance, it's a testament to the power of curiosity and perseverance. Yet, amidst the chaos and evolution, one thing remains constant: the joy of sharing my experiences and inspiring others to embrace their own journeys. Seeing individuals transform their lives based on the lessons I've learned is the ultimate reward, reminding me that every twist and turn has been worth it. In a landscape where change is the only constant, I find solace in knowing that my journey is far from over. As I continue to evolve alongside the ever-shifting tides of technology, one thing is certain—I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. In the midst of countless interviews centered around blockchain and technology, there's a story I've yet to share—a story that delves deep into the intricacies of my journey and the driving forces behind who I am today. My path hasn't been a straight line; it's been a winding road filled with unexpected twists and turns. It's about time I shed light on the journey that brought me to where I stand today—a journey shaped by resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to growth. Like many, my journey began with a simple desire—to secure a job and provide for my family. But as life would have it, that desire soon evolved into something more profound—an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a burning passion to make a difference in the world. Through the highs and lows of navigating the blockchain landscape, I've unearthed skills and strengths I never knew I possessed. From weathering the storm of scam projects to finding my voice as a female entrepreneur in a male-dominated industry, every hurdle has only fueled my determination to succeed. But perhaps the most rewarding part of my journey has been the opportunity to inspire others—especially fellow moms—who may feel constrained by the confines of their home. From juggling family responsibilities to pursuing my passion for technology and marketing, I've proven that it's possible to carve out a fulfilling career path from the comfort of home. Now, as a proud member of the CryptoFemale organization, I'm committed to championing the voices of women in tech and empowering the next generation of female entrepreneurs. Whether it's through speaking engagements or grassroots initiatives, I'm determined to shatter barriers and pave the way for a more inclusive future. So, as I embark on this next chapter as a Founder of CryptoFemale in the Philippines, I do so with a renewed sense of purpose and a steadfast belief in the transformative power of women in technology.
Could you please tell us what projects are you currently developing within your organization?
Within the realm of CryptoFemale and various exchange projects, my role has expanded to include speaking engagements and advisory opportunities. While I appreciate these offers, I'm drawn to the prospect of forging my own path, independent of predefined roles. The influx of speaking invitations may stem from my previous interviews and LinkedIn presence, reflecting a recognition of my journey and contributions thus far. Yet, my focus lies in exploring new avenues where I can make a broader impact. While employment is valuable, I'm driven to unearth new facets of myself, whether as a public speaker sharing insights from my decade-long journey or as a strategist assisting startups in brand-building and marketing endeavors.
How do you prioritize events to participate in?

In every event I participate in, I approach it with a sense of purpose—to share insights, connect with others, and learn from the collective wisdom present. Whether it's a formal conference or a casual Twitter podcast, I prioritize opportunities where I can contribute meaningfully, regardless of the topic at hand.
My aim is to leave a lasting impression, not just within the blockchain industry, but among diverse audiences who can relate and derive value from my experiences. It's not merely about regurgitating technical information, but rather about weaving together personal anecdotes and industry insights to deliver a message that resonates universally.
Having attended events where speakers failed to establish a connection with the audience, I recognize the importance of authenticity and relevance in every interaction. As a speaker, I bear the responsibility of delivering substance over superficiality—offering genuine value that extends beyond the confines of popularity or self-promotion.
My goal is simple—to empower listeners with knowledge that transcends the mundane and sparks meaningful dialogue. Whether addressing seasoned professionals or newcomers to the industry, I strive to bridge the gap between theory and practice, infusing each presentation with real-world applications and relatable anecdotes.
Who do you follow in your industry and who would you consider a prominent representative of this industry?
I admire individuals like Gary Vee, who exude authenticity and humility despite their immense success. Instead of flaunting material possessions or status symbols, they focus on sharing valuable insights and creating meaningful contributions to the world. For me, it's not about chasing fame or recognition as an influential figure in the industry. I strive to be recognized for the value I bring and the positive impact I have on others' lives. Whether it's being nominated for prestigious awards or simply being acknowledged for my contributions, I find fulfillment in knowing that I've made a difference. Balancing family, career, and business endeavors can be challenging, but I embrace every moment with gratitude and joy. Life is unpredictable, and I believe in cherishing each experience—both good and bad—as valuable lessons that shape who we are. Maintaining honesty and authenticity in an industry often clouded by superficiality is a priority for me. I believe in being true to oneself and inspiring others through genuine experiences and insights. It's not about competing with others or seeking validation; it's about sharing knowledge, fostering connections, and uplifting those around us. Every event I attend, whether as a speaker or a listener, is an opportunity to connect, learn, and inspire. I believe in leaving a lasting impression by sharing meaningful stories, offering practical advice, and encouraging others to pursue their passions with authenticity and integrity. Ultimately, success is not measured by accolades or achievements but by the positive impact we have on the lives of others. I aspire to be remembered not for my titles or accomplishments but for the genuine connections I've forged and the inspiration I've imparted along the way.
When you hear the question about the most challenging in marketing and pr in blockchain, what's first come to your mind?
One of the main challenges I've encountered as a marketer, particularly in startup companies, is the issue of budget constraints. While I am adept at strategizing and executing marketing plans, it becomes challenging when clients have high expectations but limited budgets. Negotiating with influencers and planning ad campaigns can be costly, and it's essential to align the budget with the desired results. Transparency in communication channels is also vital, as it ensures clarity and prevents misunderstandings. However, I've experienced instances where agencies promise certain outcomes but fail to deliver, highlighting the importance of due diligence when selecting partners. While challenges like budget constraints and communication transparency are prevalent in marketing, honesty and strategic planning can help navigate these obstacles effectively. It's crucial for both clients and marketers to manage expectations realistically and collaborate transparently to achieve desired outcomes.
Do you have any advice for the founders-beginners, who just launching their blockchain or related to blockchain projects?
Before diving into the world of business, especially in the blockchain industry, it's crucial to acknowledge that success isn't guaranteed. Like any venture, there are risks involved, and it's essential to approach it with a mindset prepared for the challenges ahead. Imagine starting a business as preparing a recipe—you need the right ingredients and mindset before you begin. Ask yourself if you're willing to invest the necessary time, money, and effort. If the answer is yes, then you're on the right track. However, starting a business also means managing various challenges, including time management and team coordination. As a potential founder, you must be fully committed and prepared to overcome obstacles. If doubts linger in your mind, it might not be the right time to start. But if you feel confident and determined to make a change, then go for it. No one can stop you but yourself. While some may hesitate to take the leap, others are ready to embrace the journey. If you're truly passionate about your vision and ready to face the uncertainties, then take the plunge. Just do it!
